Tina Turner’s 2nd husband sacrificed his organ to save her life because he ‘didn’t want another woman’

Tina Turner — the legendary singer known for hits like “Proud Mary” — faced serious health struggles later in life, including a stroke, intestinal cancer, and kidney failure. After her kidneys began failing, she needed a transplant to survive.

Her second husband, Erwin Bach, whom she married in 2013 after years together, offered to donate one of his kidneys. Tina revealed he told her he didn’t want “another woman” or “another life,” and was willing to give her his organ to save her. The transplant was successful, and Tina later spoke about how grateful she was for the love and sacrifice that helped her live longer.

Turner later wrote about this in her book Tina Turner: My Love Story, where she reflected on her health journey and the deep bond she shared with Bach.
