Sarah discovered a note in her husband David’s pocket that read, “Meet me at Obélix on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Wear red.” Instead of confronting him, she dressed in the same red dress he once gave her and went to the restaurant early.

There, she watched David arrive with flowers for a younger woman, Courtney. When Courtney asked who Sarah was, Sarah calmly revealed she was David’s wife of 18 years. Courtney, shocked to learn David had lied about being divorced, immediately left him.

Sarah quietly removed her wedding ring, left him the house key, and told him she had already moved out. When David pleaded that she was throwing away 18 years over “one mistake,” she replied, “You threw it away seven years ago. I just took eighteen years to notice.”

Six months later, Sarah is peacefully rebuilding her life while David lives alone, facing divorce.
