A man walks into church looking a bit nervous and heads straight to the confessional.
“Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned,” he says. “I lied all week.”
The priest replies, “My son, honesty is important. Tell me—what kind of lies?”
The man sighs, “Well… I told my boss I was sick, my wife I was working late, and my friends I was on a diet.”
The priest pauses, then says, “For your penance, say 10 Hail Marys… and next Sunday, sit in the front row.”
The man panics, “Front row?! Why?!”
The priest chuckles, “Because clearly… you need to get better at telling the truth under pressure!”
