Bill Davidge, the longtime broadcaster and color commentator for the Columbus Blue Jackets, has passed away at the age of 72, leaving behind a strong legacy in Ohio hockey.

Davidge was widely respected for his warm personality, deep hockey knowledge, and close connection with fans. He began his hockey journey as a player at Ohio State University, later becoming a coach at Miami University of Ohio and even serving as an amateur scout when the Columbus Blue Jackets were being formed.

His famous catchphrase, “Oh baby, you better believe it!”, became iconic among supporters.
